"The Big Apple"

As I said in one of my previous blog posts, there are 3 types of people in this world; There are people that make it happen, talk about making it happen, and people that wonder what happened. I took this trip for 2 simple reasons. The first reason was to go on the college tour at the Fashion Institute Of Technology. 
I plan on attending this school next fall, so I thought it would be a great idea to get a hands on experience  in this competitive atmosphere, which leads to my second reason for taking this trip.The tour only lasted  one day but my trip lasted 7 days. I wanted more then just a tour of the school. I wanted a tour of the city. I was born in New York, but I moved when I was only 5 and I haven't been back since this trip took place. I wanted to get a first hand experience of everything New York had to offer. None of this would of happened without the help of my mother and my beautiful girlfriend who gave me the courage to take such a challenging  leap. I have a goal. I will make it my mission to protect, and achieve this goal by any means necessary.

I felt like it was only right to alter my look. I was starting to feel complacent with the street style that I started to show in all of my pictures. I'm not saying there was anything wrong with the look. I just feel like it is very important to switch it up sometimes but still find a way to stamp your originality on it. This technique enables you to enhance your versatility and portray an image that no one would ever see coming. 

"I'm A Walking Contradiction"

I was at work last week and one of my co-workers said "Brian, I honestly have to give you props. I have no clue what your wearing but it looks great on you. If I saw this exact outfit on someone else I don't even think it would look as good. You are wearing so much patterns but it actually looks good on you." That is one of the biggest compliments I think I've ever received. When you think about it , fashion isn't original at all. there  will always be someone with the same apparel as you but it truly depends on you to be different when you piece it all together. I'm a strong believer  that  one's personality may have a big impact on how they might dress.This is how originality forms and all comes together at the end of the day.

The difference between a "One Hit Wonder" and a "Legend" would have to be consistency. Anyone  can create a plan, or think of goals to pursue.  In all reality, the hardest part would be to follow through with the plan or goal that you initially created. When I first started this  fashion blog, I didn't have a clue to what I was doing. My main  objective was to make sure that each new post would be better than the last. Truth is, I always saw my life as an unscrambled puzzle, and lately the pieces have been slowly coming together. I actually consider my fashion blog to be a story told by fashion itself. Now that you have a better understanding of the whole purpose, all I can say is to stay tuned.
